Pediatric Immunity

Pediatric immunity refers to the unique defense system in children against infections and diseases. During infancy and childhood, the immune system develops, offering protection through passive immunity from maternal antibodies and gradual development of the child's own immune responses. This evolving immunity in pediatric stages plays a vital role in shielding against infections, but also poses susceptibility to certain illnesses. Proper vaccination, nutrition, and a healthy environment are crucial for bolstering pediatric immunity. A part of the principle issue of pediatric immunology is community obtained diseases, complications of immunization, HIV and pediatric AIDS or acquired insusceptible deficiencies.
