Pediatric Neurological Disorders

Pediatric neurological disorders encompass a range of conditions affecting the nervous system in children. Brain tumors, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and stroke are the most common ones which comes under a huge list of more than 600 diseases of the nervous system. Genetic factors can influence the development variety of neurological disorders that are typically inherited from parents through genes and chromosomes. Chromosomes are the long strands of DNA which are supported by protein and that are found in the nuclei of human cells. The sections of DNA called genes carry the chemical code that makes us who we are. Chromosomes are composed of thousands of genes. A human body cell which normally contains 46 (23 pairs) of chromosomes, half inherited from the mother and half from the father.
